Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. For lead-acid batteries only.

  1. Work in well-ventilated area; keep away from sparks/flames.
  2. Wear eye protection and gloves when handling batteries.
  3. Ensure charger is unplugged before connecting/disconnecting clamps.
  4. Connect red clamp (+) to positive terminal, black clamp (-) to negative terminal.
  5. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.
  6. Keep charger dry; do not expose to rain or moisture.

WARNING! Risk of explosion or acid burn. Follow polarity instructions carefully. Do not disassemble charger.

Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place charger on stable, dry surface.

  1. Power off: Ensure charger is unplugged from AC outlet.
  2. Battery connection: Attach red clamp to battery positive (+) terminal, black clamp to negative (-) terminal or grounded metal.
  3. AC connection: Plug charger into 120V wall outlet.
  4. Mode selection: Press MODE button to select charging profile (Standard, Deep Cycle, Maintenance).
  5. Start charging: Charger begins automatically after detection.

CAUTION! Never connect clamps to each other. Ensure secure connections to prevent arcing.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: Digital display, MODE button, Power/Status LED.

Display Icons: Battery symbol, Charge % (0-100%), Voltage reading, Mode indicator, Fault code.

Modes: STANDARD (regular charging), DEEP CYCLE (for deep discharge batteries), MAINTENANCE (float/pulse maintenance). LED Colors: Green (standby/charged), Red (charging), Flashing Red (error).

Charging Procedures

For 12V lead-acid batteries (car, motorcycle, marine, etc.).

  1. Verify battery: Check voltage (should be above 3V for detection).
  2. Connect clamps: Red to positive, black to negative/ground.
  3. Plug in AC: Charger powers on; display shows battery voltage.
  4. Select mode: Press MODE to choose based on battery type.
  5. Monitor: Display shows charge progress (%) and voltage.
  6. Completion: Charger switches to maintenance mode automatically; LED turns green.
  7. Disconnect: Unplug AC first, then remove black clamp, then red clamp.

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries, use DEEP CYCLE mode. Charging time varies by battery capacity.

Maintenance Mode

Automatically maintains battery after full charge; prevents overcharging.

  1. After full charge, charger reduces current to float/trickle charge.
  2. Maintenance mode pulses to keep battery at optimal voltage.
  3. Can be used for long-term storage (weeks/months).
  4. Select MAINTENANCE mode manually for battery conditioning.

Note: Do not leave charger connected indefinitely; check periodically.

Error Codes & Diagnostics

Display shows error codes if fault detected.

CodeMeaningAction
E1Reverse polarityCheck clamp connections; correct polarity.
E2OvervoltageBattery voltage too high; check battery.
E3OverheatLet charger cool; ensure ventilation.
E4Short circuitCheck battery/clamps for short; disconnect.
E5No battery detectedEnsure connections; battery voltage >3V.

Reset: Unplug charger, wait 30 seconds, reconnect.

Care & Storage

Unplug and clean after use. Store in dry, cool place.

  1. Wipe with dry cloth; do not use liquids.
  2. Keep clamps clean; prevent corrosion.
  3. Store in original box if possible.
  4. Check cables periodically for damage.

CAUTION! Do not immerse in water. Avoid extreme temperatures.
