Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place charger on stable, dry, non-flammable surface.

  1. Power Connection: Plug the AC power cord into a standard 120V outlet.
  2. Battery Preparation: Ensure battery is in a well-ventilated area. Clean terminals if corroded.
  3. Clamp Connection: Connect RED clamp to POSITIVE (+) terminal first, then BLACK clamp to NEGATIVE (-) terminal.
  4. Power On: The digital display will illuminate and automatically detect battery voltage.

WARNING! Always connect clamps in correct order (RED first, BLACK last). Disconnect in reverse order (BLACK first, RED last). Keep away from sparks, flames, and metal objects.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel Controls: POWER Button, MODE Button (2A / 10A / 25A), TEST Button, MAINTENANCE Button.

Digital Display Icons: Battery Voltage (6V/12V), Charging Current (A), Charging Stage (BULK/ABS/FLOAT), Error Codes, Battery Health Indicator (Good/Fair/Replace).

LED Indicators: POWER (Green), CHARGING (Flashing Green), FULL (Solid Green), FAULT (Red).

Operation: Use MODE button to select charge rate (2A for small batteries/maintenance, 10A for standard charging, 25A for fast charging). Press TEST to check battery condition. Press MAINTENANCE for long-term storage mode.

Charging Procedures

Supports automatic and manual charging modes.

  1. Automatic Charging: Connect clamps correctly. Charger auto-detects voltage and begins Bulk charge. Display shows current and stage.
  2. Manual Mode Selection: Press MODE button to choose 2A, 10A, or 25A charge rate based on battery size.
  3. Monitoring: During charging, display updates. CHARGING LED flashes.
  4. Completion: When battery is full, charger switches to Float mode. FULL LED lights solid. Display shows "FULL" or "FLOAT".
  5. Disconnection: Press POWER button to turn off. Disconnect BLACK clamp first, then RED clamp.

WARNING! Do not disconnect clamps while charger is actively charging. Turn off power first. Charge in a well-ventilated area.

Maintenance Mode

For long-term battery storage (e.g., seasonal vehicles, boats).

  1. Connect charger to battery as normal.
  2. Press MAINTENANCE button. Display shows "MAINT" icon.
  3. Charger will maintain battery at optimal voltage, providing a trickle charge as needed to prevent discharge.
  4. Can be left connected indefinitely with minimal power consumption.

Note: Suitable for 12V batteries only in this mode. Check battery periodically.

Battery Testing

Built-in tester assesses battery health without charging.

  1. Ensure charger is NOT plugged into AC power.
  2. Connect clamps to battery terminals (correct polarity).
  3. Press and hold TEST button for 3 seconds.
  4. Display will show result: GOOD (Green), FAIR (Yellow), REPLACE (Red).
  5. Disconnect clamps after test.

Tip: For accurate results, battery should be at rest (not recently charged or discharged) for at least 1 hour.

Safety Features

Reverse Polarity Protection: If clamps are reversed, display shows "REV" and charger will not operate. Correct connections to proceed.

Spark-Proof: Clamps are designed to prevent sparks when connecting to battery terminals.

Overcharge Protection: Automatically reduces current and switches to float mode.

Thermal Protection: Internal fan cools unit; charger will reduce output or shut down if overheated.

Care & Storage

Unplug and disconnect from battery before cleaning. Wipe exterior with dry cloth. Keep clamps clean and free of corrosion.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Coil power cord neatly. Do not store with clamps connected to a battery.

CAUTION! Do not immerse in water or use liquid cleaners. Ensure unit is completely dry before use.
