Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Charger contains electrical parts; risk of shock or fire exists.

  1. Use in dry, well-ventilated area away from flammable materials.
  2. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.
  3. Connect to battery before plugging into AC outlet.
  4. Connect red clamp to positive (+) terminal, black clamp to negative (-) terminal or grounded metal.
  5. Keep clamps apart when not connected to battery.
  6. Do not disconnect clamps while charger is powered on.

WARNING! Risk of explosive gases. Keep sparks and flames away. Wear eye protection.

First-Time Setup & Operation

Prepare battery and charger for initial use.

  1. Inspect battery: Ensure it is not damaged or leaking. Clean terminals if corroded.
  2. Select location: Place charger on stable, non-conductive surface near battery.
  3. Connect clamps: RED to positive (+), BLACK to negative (-) or grounded chassis.
  4. Plug into AC: Insert power cord into 120V, 60Hz outlet.
  5. Select mode: Press MODE button for standard charge or recondition (if needed).
  6. Monitor LEDs: Charger will automatically begin and indicate progress.

CAUTION! Ensure proper polarity. Reverse connection can damage charger and battery.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: MODE button, LED indicators. Cables: Red/black clamps with spark-proof design.

LED Indicators:

Mode Button: Press to toggle between CHARGE (standard) and RECONDITION (repair) modes.

Charging Procedures

Standard charging for typical batteries.

  1. Ensure battery is in safe, ventilated location.
  2. Connect clamps correctly (RED to +, BLACK to -).
  3. Plug charger into AC outlet. POWER LED lights.
  4. Charger automatically detects voltage and begins charging. CHARGING LED flashes.
  5. Monitor progress: LEDs will change from CHARGING to 80% to FULLY CHARGED.
  6. When FULLY CHARGED lights, charger switches to maintenance float mode.
  7. To disconnect: Unplug AC cord first, then remove clamps from battery.

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries, charger may take longer to initiate. Wait 2-3 minutes.

Battery Reconditioning Mode

Use for sulfated or deeply discharged batteries that won't hold charge.

  1. Connect clamps to battery as usual.
  2. Plug into AC power.
  3. Press MODE button until RECONDITION LED lights.
  4. Charger will run special desulfation cycle (may take several hours).
  5. Monitor LEDs; process completes automatically.
  6. After reconditioning, charger switches to standard charge mode.

WARNING! Reconditioning may not revive severely damaged batteries. Do not use on frozen batteries.

Maintenance Mode

Float/maintenance mode keeps battery at optimal charge during storage.

After full charge, charger automatically enters float mode (FULLY CHARGED LED solid). It monitors voltage and provides small pulses to maintain charge indefinitely. Safe for long-term connection (weeks/months).

Care & Storage

Unplug and disconnect before cleaning. Wipe with dry cloth; keep vents clear.

Storage: Store in dry location. Coil cables neatly. Avoid extreme temperatures.

CAUTION! Do not immerse in water or use solvents. Inspect cables regularly for damage.
