Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Use in well-ventilated area.

  1. Personal Safety: Wear eye protection. Keep away from children.
  2. Battery Safety: Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries. Remove battery caps (if applicable) to vent gases.
  3. Electrical Safety: Connect to grounded 120V outlet only. Do not expose to rain or moisture.
  4. Connection Order: Connect charger to battery FIRST, then plug into AC outlet. Disconnect in reverse order.

WARNING! Risk of explosive gases. Keep sparks, flames, and smoking materials away from battery. Do not disassemble charger.

First-Time Setup & Operation

Power on charger; follow display prompts.

  1. Select Battery Type: Use MODE button to cycle between STD (Standard), AGM, GEL.
  2. Connect Clamps: Connect RED clamp to battery POSITIVE (+) terminal. Connect BLACK clamp to battery NEGATIVE (-) terminal or vehicle chassis ground.
  3. Plug In: Plug AC cord into 120V outlet. Charger will begin automatic diagnosis and charging.
  4. Monitor: Digital display will show charging progress, voltage, and amperage.
  5. Completion: Charger will automatically switch to Float/Maintenance mode when battery is fully charged.

CAUTION! Ensure clamps have solid metal-to-metal contact. Do not connect to a vehicle's electrical system while engine is running.

Specifications

Controls and Display

Access functions via front panel buttons. Front Panel: POWER, MODE (Battery Type/Charge Rate), ENGINE START, RECONDITION.

Display Icons: Battery Type icon, Charge Status (Charging, Full, Maintaining), Error Codes, Voltage/Amperage readout.

Battery Type Selection: Press MODE to cycle STD -> AGM -> GEL. Charge Rate Selection: In STD mode, press MODE again to cycle 15A -> 30A -> 75A. Engine Start: Press ENGINE START button for 75-amp engine assist (use with vehicle off). Recondition: Press RECONDITION button to enter recovery mode for sulfated batteries.

Charging Modes & Maintenance

Automatic multi-stage charging.

  1. Bulk Mode: Delivers maximum current until battery reaches ~80% charge.
  2. Absorption Mode: Voltage constant, current tapers as battery nears 100%.
  3. Float/Maintenance Mode: Maintains full charge with a low, steady voltage; prevents overcharging.
  4. Maintaining a Battery: Leave connected; charger will maintain charge indefinitely. Ideal for seasonal vehicles.

Tip: For best results, charge battery at room temperature. A warm battery accepts charge faster than a cold one.

Battery Reconditioning

Attempts to recover deeply discharged or sulfated batteries.

  1. Connect: Connect clamps to battery as normal.
  2. Select Mode: Press RECONDITION button. Display will show "RC".
  3. Process: Charger will run a high-voltage desulfation pulse, then attempt a charge cycle. This process is longer than standard charging.
  4. Result: If successful, battery voltage will rise and normal charging will resume. If not, display may show an error (e.g., "BAD BATTERY").

WARNING! Not all batteries can be recovered. Do not use on good batteries. This mode generates heat.

Care & Storage

Unplug and disconnect from battery before cleaning. Wipe with dry cloth only; do not use liquids or solvents. Store in a cool, dry place.

CAUTION! Keep clamps clean and free of corrosion. Coil cords neatly to prevent damage. Do not store in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
