Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. For lead-acid batteries only.

  1. WORKING AREA: Use in dry, well-ventilated area. Keep away from sparks, flames, and metal surfaces.
  2. PERSONAL SAFETY: Wear eye protection. Do not touch clamps together or to common ground.
  3. BATTERY: Ensure battery is 6V or 12V lead-acid. Check for cracks or leaks before charging.
  4. CONNECTIONS: Connect to battery before plugging into AC outlet. Follow RED to POSITIVE (+), BLACK to NEGATIVE (-) or grounded chassis.
  5. DISCONNECT: Unplug AC cord before disconnecting clamps from battery.

WARNING! Risk of explosive gases. Charge battery in open area. Keep children and pets away.

Product Overview

Charging Procedure

For a 12V automotive battery or 6V motorcycle/lawn equipment battery.

  1. Prepare Battery: Turn off vehicle/equipment. Clean battery terminals if corroded.
  2. Select Mode (Optional): Press MODE button to match your battery type (Standard, AGM, Gel Cell).
  3. Connect Clamps:
    • Connect RED clamp to POSITIVE (+) battery terminal.
    • Connect BLACK clamp to NEGATIVE (-) terminal or a clean, unpainted metal part of chassis (ground).
  4. Connect to Power: Plug AC power cord into a standard 120V wall outlet.
  5. Monitor: POWER LED will light. CHARGING LED will light (Red). Charger will automatically progress through stages.
  6. Completion: When MAINTAINING LED (Green) lights, battery is fully charged and being maintained. You may leave connected indefinitely.
  7. Disconnect: Unplug AC cord from outlet first. Then remove BLACK clamp, followed by RED clamp.

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries, charger may take several hours to complete. FAULT light may flash initially but should resolve as battery accepts charge.

Maintenance Mode

After full charge, charger switches to Float/Maintenance mode (indicated by solid green MAINTAINING LED).

Note: Always ensure battery is in a well-ventilated area during long-term maintenance.

Care & Storage

Unplug and disconnect from battery before cleaning.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe exterior with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquids or solvents.
  2. Clamp Care: Keep clamps clean and free of corrosion. Ensure teeth are sharp for good connection.
  3. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Wrap cord neatly. Store clamps in side holders.
  4. Inspection: Periodically inspect AC cord and clamp cables for damage. Do not use if damaged.

CAUTION! Do not expose to rain, snow, or excessive moisture. Do not disassemble.
