Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Use in well-ventilated area.

  1. Personal Safety: Wear eye protection. Keep away from children.
  2. Battery Safety: Ensure battery is 12V lead-acid. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.
  3. Electrical Safety: Plug into grounded 120V outlet. Do not use with extension cords.
  4. Connection Safety: Connect clamps to battery terminals before plugging into AC. Follow RED to POSITIVE (+), BLACK to NEGATIVE (-) or grounded vehicle frame.

WARNING! Risk of explosive gases. Keep sparks, flames away from battery. Do not smoke near battery.

First-Time Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Verify charger and battery compatibility.

  1. Prepare Battery: Clean terminals. Ensure vent caps are tight (if applicable).
  2. Connect Clamps: Attach RED clamp to battery POSITIVE (+) terminal. Attach BLACK clamp to NEGATIVE (-) terminal or clean, unpainted metal on vehicle frame.
  3. Select Mode: Press MODE button to choose AUTOMATIC (recommended) or MANUAL.
  4. Plug In: Connect AC power cord to outlet. Charger will begin initialization.

CAUTION! Never connect clamps in reverse order. Ensure firm connection to terminals.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: POWER button, MODE button, DISPLAY button, LED status indicators.

Display Icons: Battery icon (flashing during charge), Fault icon, Full Charge icon.

Modes: AUTOMATIC (default) - selects optimal charge rate. MANUAL - user sets amperage (2A, 6A, 10A). ENGINE START - provides extra power for starting (use only with clamps connected).

Status Lights: RED (charging), YELLOW (absorption/maintenance), GREEN (fully charged/float), FLASHING RED (error/fault).

Charging Procedure

Follow steps for safe and effective charging.

  1. Verify battery voltage is between 10V and 14V. If below 10V, use MANUAL 2A mode for recovery.
  2. Connect clamps as described in First-Time Setup.
  3. Select mode: AUTOMATIC for most batteries.
  4. Plug into AC outlet. Charger will perform self-test (display shows "TEST").
  5. Charging begins. Display shows current amperage and battery voltage.
  6. Monitor: Charger automatically switches to float/maintenance when battery is full (GREEN light).
  7. Disconnect: Unplug AC cord first, then remove BLACK clamp, then RED clamp.

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries, initial charge rate may be low. Allow several hours for full charge.

Maintenance & Storage

Keep charger clean and dry. Store in cool, dry place.

  1. After use, wipe with dry cloth. Do not use water or solvents.
  2. Inspect clamps and cables for damage before each use.
  3. Coil power cord loosely; avoid sharp bends.
  4. Store in original box or protective case if available.

CAUTION! Do not disassemble charger. Refer service to qualified personnel.
