Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure charger is on a dry, stable surface.

  1. Connect AC power: Plug charger into a standard 120V AC outlet.
  2. Prepare battery: Ensure battery is in a well-ventilated area, terminals are clean.
  3. Connect clamps: Attach red clamp to positive (+) terminal, black clamp to negative (-) terminal.
  4. Verify connection: LED should illuminate indicating proper connection.

WARNING! Do not use with non-lithium batteries. Keep away from water and flammable materials.

First-Time Setup

Power on charger; observe LED indicators.

  1. Select battery type: Automatically detects 12V LiFePO4 (no manual selection needed).
  2. Initiate charging: Charger begins automatically after proper connection.
  3. Monitor status: LED indicates charging stage (flashing green for bulk, solid green for float).
  4. Disconnect: When charging complete (solid green), disconnect clamps, then unplug AC cord.

CAUTION! Connect clamps to battery before plugging into AC outlet to avoid sparks.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

LED Status Indicators:

Automatic Operation: No manual controls; charger operates automatically based on battery condition.

Connecting to Battery

Always connect to battery terminals directly if possible.

  1. Turn off all loads on battery before connecting charger.
  2. Connect red clamp to positive (+) terminal first.
  3. Connect black clamp to negative (-) terminal or grounded metal.
  4. Plug charger into AC outlet after clamps are secure.
  5. Observe LED to confirm proper operation.

Tip: For maintenance charging, leave connected indefinitely; charger will maintain optimal voltage.

Charging Process

Automatic multi-stage charging for LiFePO4 batteries.

  1. Bulk Stage: LED solid red; charger delivers constant current to raise battery voltage.
  2. Absorption Stage: LED solid red; voltage held constant, current tapers.
  3. Float Stage: LED solid green; voltage reduced to maintenance level, preventing overcharge.
  4. Maintenance: LED solid green; charger monitors and tops up as needed.

WARNING! Do not attempt to charge frozen or damaged batteries. Disconnect if battery becomes hot.

Maintenance Mode

After full charge, charger switches to float/maintenance mode automatically.

Care & Storage

Unplug and disconnect clamps before cleaning. Wipe with dry cloth; store in cool, dry place.

CAUTION! Do not expose to rain or moisture. Keep ventilation openings clear.
