Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, dry surface away from flammable materials.

  1. Position charger: Place on stable surface near battery but away from engine compartment.
  2. Connect AC power: Plug power cord into grounded 120V AC outlet.
  3. Prepare battery: Ensure battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion.
  4. Connect clamps: Attach red clamp to positive (+) terminal, black clamp to negative (-) terminal.

WARNING! Keep charger away from water and flammable materials. Ensure proper ventilation during charging.

First-Time Setup

Connect charger to battery; LED indicators will show status.

  1. Verify battery type: SJ1332 works with standard, AGM, and gel cell batteries.
  2. Check connections: Ensure clamps have good contact with battery terminals.
  3. Monitor LEDs: Charging LED will illuminate when proper connection is detected.
  4. Automatic operation: Charger will select appropriate charge mode based on battery condition.

CAUTION! Do not connect to frozen batteries. Ensure battery is in well-ventilated area.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Fully automatic operation with LED status indicators. No manual controls required for standard charging.

LED Indicators:

Automatic Features: Voltage detection, charge rate adjustment, stage progression, temperature compensation.

Connecting to Battery

Proper connection sequence is critical for safety and performance.

  1. Turn off charger: Ensure charger is not plugged into AC power.
  2. Connect clamps: Attach red clamp to positive (+) terminal first, then black clamp to negative (-) terminal or grounded metal.
  3. Connect AC power: Plug charger into grounded outlet.
  4. Verify connection: POWER LED should illuminate, followed by CHARGING LED.

Tip: For negative grounding systems, connect black clamp to vehicle chassis or engine block away from battery.

Charging Process

Three-stage automatic charging process.

  1. Bulk Stage: Delivers maximum current until battery reaches approximately 80% capacity.
  2. Absorption Stage: Voltage remains constant while current decreases for final 20%.
  3. Float Stage: Maintains battery at full charge with minimal current.
  4. Completion: CHARGING LED turns off, MAINTENANCE LED illuminates.
  5. Disconnection: Unplug AC power first, then remove black clamp, then red clamp.

WARNING! Do not disconnect clamps while charger is powered. Always follow proper disconnection sequence.

Maintenance Mode

After full charge, charger switches to maintenance mode to keep battery at optimal level.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug from AC power before cleaning. Use dry cloth only; do not use liquids or solvents.

  1. Clean clamps: Remove corrosion with wire brush; ensure good contact surfaces.
  2. Clean housing: Wipe with dry cloth; avoid getting moisture in vents.
  3. Store properly: Coil cables neatly; store in dry location.
  4. Inspect regularly: Check cables for damage before each use.

CAUTION! Do not immerse in water or use cleaning fluids. Keep vents clear of obstructions.
