Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Battery charging can be hazardous.

  1. Work in well-ventilated area away from sparks or flames.
  2. Wear protective eyewear and gloves when handling batteries.
  3. Ensure charger is unplugged from AC outlet before connecting to battery.
  4. Connect red clamp to positive (+) terminal first, then black to negative (-).
  5. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.
  6. Keep charger dry and away from water or moisture.

WARNING! Risk of explosion or acid burn. Follow all safety precautions. Do not disassemble charger.

Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure proper ventilation around charger.

  1. Place charger on stable, dry surface near battery.
  2. Verify battery voltage (6V or 12V) and type (standard/AGM/gel).
  3. Connect charger to battery: Red clamp to positive (+), black to negative (-) or grounded metal.
  4. Plug AC power cord into 120V outlet.
  5. Charger will automatically detect voltage and begin charging cycle.

CAUTION! Never connect charger to AC power before battery connections are made. Ensure clamps have good contact.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

LED Status Panel: POWER (green), CHARGING (red), MAINTENANCE (green), FAULT (red).

LED Meanings:

Automatic Operation: No manual controls needed. Charger automatically selects voltage and charging stage.

Charging Procedures

For 6V or 12V lead-acid batteries.

  1. Ensure battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion.
  2. Connect charger clamps: RED to positive (+), BLACK to negative (-).
  3. Plug charger into AC outlet. POWER LED will illuminate green.
  4. Charger automatically detects battery voltage and begins charging (CHARGING LED flashes red).
  5. When battery reaches full charge, charger switches to maintenance mode (MAINTENANCE LED steady green).
  6. To disconnect: Unplug AC cord first, then remove black clamp, then red clamp.

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries, charger may take several hours to complete charging cycle.

Maintenance Mode

After full charge, charger automatically enters float/maintenance mode.

Note: Regularly check battery condition even in maintenance mode.

Error Codes & Diagnostics

FAULT LED indicates problem conditions.

LED PatternConditionAction
FAULT flashingReverse polarity detectedDisconnect and correct clamp connections
FAULT flashingBad battery or unable to chargeTest battery; replace if defective
FAULT flashingOverheatingAllow charger to cool; improve ventilation
