Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Keep away from children.

  1. Work in well-ventilated area: Batteries produce explosive gases.
  2. Wear eye protection: Shield eyes when working near batteries.
  3. Check battery condition: Do not charge damaged or leaking batteries.
  4. Disconnect AC power: Before connecting or disconnecting clamps.
  5. Proper connection: Connect red clamp to positive (+), black to negative (-).

WARNING! Risk of explosion or acid burn. Do not smoke or use near open flame. Never lean over battery.

Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place charger on stable, dry surface.

  1. Prepare battery: Ensure battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion.
  2. Connect clamps: First connect red clamp to positive (+) terminal, then black clamp to negative (-) terminal or vehicle chassis.
  3. Plug into AC outlet: Use standard 120V AC, 60Hz outlet.
  4. Automatic start: Charger will automatically detect battery voltage and begin charging.

CAUTION! Ensure charger is unplugged from AC power before connecting to battery to prevent sparking.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

LED Status Panel: POWER (green), CHARGING (red), MAINTENANCE (green), FAULT (red).

LED Meanings:

Automatic Operation: No user controls - charger automatically selects voltage and charging mode.

Charging Procedure

For optimal results, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure battery is in well-ventilated area and charger is unplugged.
  2. Clean battery terminals if corroded.
  3. Connect red clamp to positive (+) terminal first.
  4. Connect black clamp to negative (-) terminal or clean metal on chassis.
  5. Plug charger into AC outlet - POWER LED will light.
  6. CHARGING LED will flash during charging process.
  7. When MAINTENANCE LED lights, battery is fully charged.
  8. To disconnect: Unplug AC cord first, then remove black clamp, then red clamp.

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries, charging may take 24 hours or more.

Maintenance Mode

After full charge, charger switches to float/maintenance mode to keep battery at optimal voltage.

Note: Regular maintenance charging extends battery life.

Care & Storage

Unplug and disconnect from battery before cleaning. Wipe with dry cloth only.

  1. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  2. Keep clamps clean and free of corrosion.
  3. Coil cords neatly to prevent damage.
  4. Do not expose to water or excessive moisture.

CAUTION! Do not immerse in water or use chemical cleaners. Store out of reach of children.
