Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Failure to follow may result in injury or damage.

  1. Use only with lead-acid batteries. Do not use with lithium-ion or dry cell batteries.
  2. Ensure area is well-ventilated. Batteries produce explosive gases.
  3. Wear safety glasses and gloves when handling batteries.
  4. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.
  5. Connect to battery before plugging into AC outlet.
  6. Keep charger dry and away from liquids.

WARNING! Risk of explosion or electric shock. Follow all safety precautions.

Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, dry surface away from battery.

  1. Prepare battery: Clean terminals and ensure vent caps are secure (if applicable).
  2. Connect clamps: RED to positive (+) terminal, BLACK to negative (-) terminal.
  3. Verify connection: Digital display should light up and show battery voltage.
  4. Plug into outlet: Use standard 120V AC, 60Hz outlet.
  5. Select mode: Press MODE button to choose between CHARGE, MAINTAIN, or RECONDITION.

CAUTION! Never connect clamps in reverse order. Ensure firm connection.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: Digital display, MODE button, POWER/STATUS LED.

Display Symbols: Battery icon, Voltage reading (e.g., 12.6V), Charge percentage (0-100%), Mode indicator (CHARGE/MAINTAIN/RECOND).

LED Indicators: Green (charging), Flashing Green (maintaining), Red (error/fault). Mode Selection: Press MODE to cycle through options. Charge Stages: Bulk (constant current), Absorption (constant voltage), Float (maintenance voltage).

Charging Procedure

Automatic charging for most batteries. Manual mode selection available.

  1. Connect clamps to battery (RED +, BLACK -).
  2. Plug charger into AC outlet.
  3. Display shows battery voltage and automatically detects 6V/12V.
  4. Default mode is CHARGE. Press MODE to select MAINTAIN or RECONDITION if needed.
  5. Charger begins automatically. Display shows progress percentage.
  6. When fully charged, charger switches to Maintain mode automatically.
  7. To disconnect: Unplug from outlet first, then remove clamps (BLACK first).

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries, Recondition mode may help restore capacity.

Maintenance Mode

Float/maintenance charging keeps battery at optimal level during storage.

  1. After full charge, charger automatically enters float mode.
  2. Display shows "FLOAT" or "MAINTAIN" with voltage reading.
  3. Charger monitors battery and provides small charge as needed.
  4. Can be left connected indefinitely for seasonal vehicles (boats, RVs, motorcycles).

Note: Maintenance mode prevents overcharging and extends battery life.

Error Codes & Diagnostics

Display shows error codes for troubleshooting.
