Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, dry surface.

  1. Select location: Choose well-ventilated area away from flammable materials.
  2. Prepare battery: Ensure battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion.
  3. Connect AC power: Plug charger into 120V AC outlet (do not turn on yet).
  4. Verify settings: Ensure charger is set to correct battery type if applicable.

WARNING! Keep charger dry and away from water. Do not use in enclosed spaces where battery gases may accumulate.

First-Time Setup

Power on charger; follow LED indicators.

  1. Select battery type: Press MODE button to cycle through battery types (standard/AGM/gel).
  2. Connect to battery: Attach red clamp to positive (+) terminal, black to negative (-).
  3. Automatic detection: Charger will detect battery voltage (6V or 12V).
  4. Begin charging: Charger will automatically start charging sequence.

CAUTION! Always connect clamps to battery before plugging into AC outlet. Disconnect in reverse order.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Front Panel: POWER button, MODE selection, LED indicators (POWER, CHARGING, FAULT, MAINTENANCE).

LED Indicators: POWER (green) - unit is powered; CHARGING (red) - active charging; FAULT (red flashing) - error detected; MAINTENANCE (green) - float mode/maintenance.

Mode Selection: Press MODE button to select battery type - standard (flashing LED), AGM (solid LED), gel cell (alternating flash). Automatic voltage detection: Unit detects 6V or 12V automatically when connected.

Connecting to Battery

Always follow proper connection sequence for safety.

  1. Turn off charger and unplug from AC outlet.
  2. Connect red clamp to positive (+) battery terminal.
  3. Connect black clamp to negative (-) battery terminal or vehicle chassis.
  4. Plug charger into AC outlet.
  5. Turn on POWER button.

Tip: For maintenance charging, connect directly to battery terminals. For engine start assist, ensure vehicle is off and transmission in park.

Charging Process

Automatic multi-stage charging cycle.

  1. Bulk charge: Delivers maximum current until battery reaches 80% capacity.
  2. Absorption charge: Reduces current, brings battery to 100% capacity.
  3. Float/maintenance: Maintains battery at full charge without overcharging.
  4. Completion: LED changes from CHARGING (red) to MAINTENANCE (green).
  5. Disconnect: Turn off POWER, unplug AC cord, remove black clamp then red clamp.

WARNING! Do not leave charger connected indefinitely. Monitor charging process and disconnect when complete.

Safety Features

Reverse polarity protection: Prevents damage if clamps reversed. Spark-proof: Safe connection technology. Thermal protection: Shuts down if overheated. Short circuit protection: Automatic shutdown if short detected.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug and disconnect from battery before cleaning. Wipe with dry cloth only. Keep ventilation openings clear of dust and debris.

CAUTION! Do not use liquids or solvents. Store in dry location when not in use.
