Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Use in well-ventilated area.

  1. Wear safety glasses: Protect eyes from battery acid and sparks.
  2. Remove jewelry: Avoid short circuits with metal objects.
  3. Connect to battery first: Attach clamps to battery before plugging into AC outlet.
  4. Disconnect AC first: Unplug from outlet before removing clamps from battery.
  5. Keep away from children: Store in dry, secure location.

WARNING! Risk of explosion. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries. Keep flames and sparks away.

First-Time Setup

Prepare charger and battery for initial use.

  1. Inspect charger: Check for damage to cords, clamps, or casing.
  2. Prepare battery: Clean terminals; ensure vent caps are secure (if applicable).
  3. Select battery type: Use selector switch for Standard, AGM, or Gel Cell.
  4. Connect clamps: Red to positive (+), black to negative (-) terminal.
  5. Plug into AC outlet: Use grounded 120V outlet.
  6. Monitor display: Verify correct voltage detection and charging start.

CAUTION! Ensure battery is in a stable, level position before charging.

Specifications

Controls and Display

Front Panel: POWER button, MODE selector, Battery Type switch, Digital Display.

Display Icons: Battery symbol, Charging status (bulk/absorption/float), Error codes, Voltage readout, Charge percentage.

Controls: POWER (On/Off), MODE (select charge rate if manual override available), Battery Type (Standard/AGM/Gel). Display shows real-time voltage (e.g., 12.6V), charge stage (Flashing for bulk, Solid for absorption, Steady for float), and fault codes (E1-E4).

Charging Procedure

Automatic charging for maintenance and recovery.

  1. Ensure battery type is correctly selected.
  2. Connect red clamp to positive (+) battery terminal.
  3. Connect black clamp to negative (-) terminal or vehicle chassis ground.
  4. Plug AC cord into grounded outlet; charger will power on automatically.
  5. Observe display: Should show detected voltage and begin charging.
  6. Monitor progress: Display updates charge percentage and stage.
  7. Completion: Charger switches to float/maintenance mode; display shows "FULL" or 100%.
  8. Disconnect: Unplug AC cord, then remove black clamp, then red clamp.

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries, charger may take several hours to complete all stages.

Maintenance & Storage

Unplug and clean after each use. Store in dry location.

  1. Clean clamps: Wipe with dry cloth to remove corrosion.
  2. Inspect cables: Check for cracks or exposed wires.
  3. Store properly: Coil cords neatly; avoid extreme temperatures.
  4. Periodic check: Test charger every 3 months if unused.

CAUTION! Do not immerse in water or use solvents for cleaning.

Error Codes & Diagnostics

Display shows error codes for fault conditions.

CodeMeaningAction
E1Reverse polarity detectedCheck clamp connections; correct red/black placement.
E2Over temperatureAllow charger to cool; ensure ventilation.
E3Battery voltage too low/highCheck battery condition; replace if damaged.
E4Charging timeoutBattery may not accept charge; test battery.
--No battery detectedEnsure clamps have good contact; clean terminals.
