Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure all parts are present and undamaged.

  1. Choose location: Place charger on stable, dry, non-flammable surface near battery.
  2. AC power connection: Plug AC cord into grounded 120V outlet.
  3. Battery connection: Connect clamps to battery terminals (RED to positive+, BLACK to negative-).
  4. Verify connections: Ensure clamps have secure contact on clean terminals.

WARNING! Always connect to battery before plugging into AC outlet. Keep away from water and flammable materials.

First-Time Setup

Power on charger; follow LED indicators.

  1. Select battery voltage: Press VOLTAGE button to choose 6V or 12V.
  2. Select battery type: Press TYPE button for Standard, AGM, or Gel.
  3. Start charging: After connections, charger will begin automatic multi-stage process.
  4. Monitor progress: LED display shows charging stage and battery status.

CAUTION! Ensure proper ventilation. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Front Panel Controls: POWER button, VOLTAGE selector (6V/12V), TYPE selector (Standard/AGM/Gel), LED Display.

LED Indicators: POWER (green), CHARGING (red), FULLY CHARGED (green), FAULT (red flashing).

Settings: Voltage selection (must match battery), Battery type selection (optimizes charging algorithm), Automatic mode (default for most batteries), Manual override (for specific needs).

Connecting to Batteries

Always follow proper connection sequence for safety.

  1. Turn off charger and unplug from AC outlet.
  2. Connect RED clamp to positive (+) battery terminal.
  3. Connect BLACK clamp to negative (-) battery terminal or grounded metal on vehicle.
  4. Plug charger into AC outlet.
  5. Select voltage and battery type.

Tip: Clean battery terminals before connecting for best performance.

Charging Process

Automatic multi-stage charging for optimal results.

  1. Bulk Stage: Delivers maximum current until battery reaches ~80% charge.
  2. Absorption Stage: Voltage constant, current tapers as battery nears full charge.
  3. Float Stage: Maintains battery at full charge without overcharging.
  4. Completion: LED changes from CHARGING (red) to FULLY CHARGED (green).
  5. Disconnect: Unplug AC cord first, then remove clamps (black first, then red).

WARNING! Do not disconnect clamps while charger is powered on. Always follow disconnect sequence.

Maintenance Mode

After full charge, charger automatically switches to float/maintenance mode to keep battery at optimal level for extended periods. Ideal for seasonal vehicles, boats, and storage.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug and disconnect from battery before cleaning. Wipe exterior with dry cloth. Keep ventilation openings clear of dust and debris.

CAUTION! Do not use liquids or solvents. Store in dry location when not in use.
