Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, dry, non-flammable surface.

  1. Select location: Ensure well-ventilated area away from sparks and flames.
  2. Prepare battery: Clean battery terminals if corroded.
  3. Connect AC power: Plug charger into grounded 120V outlet.
  4. Connect clamps: Attach RED clamp to positive (+) terminal, BLACK clamp to negative (-) terminal.

WARNING! Risk of explosion! Keep away from batteries while charging. Ensure proper ventilation to disperse hydrogen gas.

First-Time Setup

Power on charger; follow display prompts.

  1. Select battery voltage: Use selector switch to choose 6V or 12V.
  2. Select battery type: Choose Standard, AGM, Gel, or Deep Cycle.
  3. Select charge rate: Choose 2A for maintenance or 7.5A for faster charging.
  4. Monitor display: Digital readout will show charging progress and status.

CAUTION! Do not connect to frozen batteries. Ensure battery electrolyte level is adequate before charging.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Front Panel: Digital Display, Voltage Selector (6V/12V), Battery Type Selector, Charge Rate Selector (2A/7.5A).

Display Indicators: Charging, Fully Charged, Fault, Reverse Polarity, Battery Voltage.

Settings: Voltage selection must match battery. Battery Type selection optimizes charge algorithm. Charge Rate: 2A for small batteries/maintenance, 7.5A for faster charging of larger batteries.

Connecting Batteries

For in-vehicle or out-of-vehicle charging.

  1. Turn off charger and unplug from AC outlet before connecting clamps.
  2. Connect RED clamp to positive (+) battery terminal.
  3. Connect BLACK clamp to negative (-) battery terminal or vehicle chassis ground.
  4. Plug charger into AC outlet; charger will automatically begin analysis and charging.

Tip: For batteries still in vehicle, disconnect negative cable from battery to prevent voltage spikes to vehicle electronics.

Charging Process

Automatic multi-stage charging.

  1. Analysis: Charger tests battery condition for 30 seconds before charging.
  2. Bulk Stage: Delivers maximum current until battery reaches 80% capacity.
  3. Absorption Stage: Voltage constant, current tapers as battery nears full charge.
  4. Float Stage: Maintenance charge to keep battery at full capacity without overcharging.
  5. Completion: Display shows "FULL" or "100%"; charger switches to float mode.
  6. Disconnect: Unplug AC power, then remove BLACK clamp, then RED clamp.

WARNING! Do not leave charger unattended for extended periods. Monitor for unusual heat or odors.

Maintenance & Storage

Unplug and clean after each use. Store in dry location.

Cleaning: Use dry cloth only; ensure clamps are clean and free of corrosion.

CAUTION! Do not immerse in water or use liquid cleaners. Store in cool, dry place away from children.
