Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. For lead-acid batteries only.

  1. Use in well-ventilated area; keep away from sparks, flames, and smoking materials.
  2. Wear eye protection and protective clothing when handling batteries.
  3. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.
  4. Ensure charger is unplugged from AC outlet before connecting/disconnecting clamps.
  5. Connect red clamp to positive (+) terminal first, then black to negative (-) or chassis ground.

WARNING! Risk of explosive gases. Battery acid can cause severe burns. Keep out of reach of children.

Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place charger on stable, dry, non-flammable surface.

  1. Check battery: Ensure battery is 6V or 12V lead-acid type. Clean terminals if corroded.
  2. Connect clamps: With charger unplugged, connect red clamp to positive (+) terminal.
  3. Connect black clamp to negative (-) terminal or clean, unpainted metal on chassis.
  4. Plug charger into standard 120V AC, 60Hz outlet.
  5. LED will illuminate indicating charging has begun.

CAUTION! Do not connect to AC power before connecting to battery. Ensure clamps do not touch each other or metal surfaces.

Charger automatically detects battery voltage and condition. No user adjustment required.

Charging Procedure

Fully automatic operation for charging and maintaining.

  1. Ensure charger is unplugged from AC outlet.
  2. Connect clamps to battery as described in Installation.
  3. Plug charger into AC outlet. Red CHARGING LED will light.
  4. Charger will automatically analyze battery and apply appropriate charge.
  5. When battery reaches full charge, LED will change to green MAINTENANCE mode.
  6. Charger can remain connected indefinitely to maintain battery charge.
  7. To disconnect: Unplug from AC outlet first, then remove black clamp, then red clamp.

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries, charging may take several hours to complete.

Maintenance Mode

After full charge, charger switches to float/maintenance mode automatically.

Note: Maintenance mode will not overcharge the battery.

Care & Storage

Unplug and disconnect from battery before cleaning. Store in cool, dry place.

  1. Wipe exterior with dry cloth only. Do not use liquids or solvents.
  2. Inspect clamps and cables periodically for damage.
  3. Store in original packaging or protective case to prevent dust accumulation.
  4. Keep away from moisture, heat sources, and direct sunlight.

CAUTION! Do not immerse charger in water or other liquids.

Troubleshooting
