Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Use in well-ventilated area.

  1. Wear protective eyewear and gloves when handling batteries.
  2. Ensure charger is unplugged from AC outlet before connecting to battery.
  3. Connect red clamp to positive (+) terminal, black clamp to negative (-) terminal.
  4. Keep charger away from water, moisture, and flammable materials.
  5. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.

WARNING! Risk of explosion or electric shock if misused. Follow all safety precautions.

Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, dry surface.

  1. Connect to battery: Ensure charger is unplugged. Attach clamps to correct terminals.
  2. Plug into AC power: Use standard 120V AC outlet.
  3. Automatic start: Charger will detect battery voltage and begin charging automatically.
  4. Monitor LEDs: Refer to indicator lights for charging status.

CAUTION! Do not connect to AC power before attaching battery clamps. Ensure secure connections.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

LED Indicators: POWER (green), CHARGING (flashing green), FAULT (red), MAINTENANCE (solid green).

Operation: Fully automatic; no manual settings required. Charger selects voltage and charging stage based on battery condition.

Status Guide: POWER ON – charger connected to AC; CHARGING – battery accepting charge; FAULT – check connections or battery condition; MAINTENANCE – float mode maintaining charge.

Charging Procedures

For 6V or 12V lead-acid batteries.

  1. Ensure battery is in well-ventilated area and terminals are clean.
  2. Connect red clamp to positive (+) terminal, black clamp to negative (-) terminal.
  3. Plug charger into AC outlet. POWER LED will illuminate.
  4. Charger automatically detects voltage and begins charging. CHARGING LED flashes.
  5. When battery is fully charged, charger switches to maintenance mode (MAINTENANCE LED solid).
  6. To disconnect, unplug from AC outlet first, then remove clamps from battery.

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries, charging may take several hours. Monitor LED indicators.

Maintenance Mode

Float maintenance keeps battery at optimal charge during storage.

  1. After full charge, charger automatically enters float mode.
  2. MAINTENANCE LED remains solid green.
  3. Charger monitors battery voltage and provides trickle charge as needed.
  4. Can be left connected indefinitely without risk of overcharging.

Note: Ideal for seasonal vehicles, boats, motorcycles, and standby batteries.

Error Codes & Diagnostics

FAULT LED indicates issues. Common conditions:

LED PatternMeaningAction
FAULT flashingReverse polarityCheck clamp connections; correct if reversed
FAULT solidBattery voltage too low or highVerify battery is 6V or 12V; replace if damaged
No LEDsNo AC powerCheck outlet and power cord connection
CHARGING LED stays on >24hBattery may not hold chargeTest battery; replace if defective

Care & Storage

Unplug and disconnect from battery before cleaning. Wipe with dry cloth; do not use liquids.

Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.

CAUTION! Do not expose to rain or wet conditions. Keep vents clear of obstructions.
