Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure work area is dry and well-ventilated.

  1. Select Location: Place charger on stable, non-flammable surface near battery.
  2. AC Power: Plug AC cord into grounded 120V outlet. LED should illuminate.
  3. Battery Preparation: Ensure battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion.
  4. Battery Type Selection: Use switch (if applicable) to match battery type (AGM/Gel/Wet).

WARNING! Keep away from sparks, flames, and metal objects. Charge in well-ventilated area to avoid explosive gases.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Unit features simple LED interface. No manual controls required for basic operation.

LED Indicators:

Note: Some models may include a battery type selector switch (AGM/GEL/WET).

Connecting to Battery

Always connect charger to battery before plugging into AC outlet.

  1. Ensure charger is unplugged from AC outlet.
  2. Connect RED clamp to POSITIVE (+) battery terminal.
  3. Connect BLACK clamp to NEGATIVE (-) battery terminal or clean chassis ground.
  4. Verify secure metal-to-metal contact.
  5. Plug AC cord into outlet. Charger will begin automatic diagnosis.

Tip: For maintenance on installed battery, connect negative clamp to vehicle chassis away from battery and fuel lines.

Charging Process

Charger automatically selects correct mode based on battery voltage and condition.

  1. Diagnosis: LED flashes briefly while checking battery.
  2. Desulfation (if needed): Flashing red LED attempts to recover sulfated battery.
  3. Bulk Charge: Solid red LED. High current until ~80% charged.
  4. Absorption Charge: Red LED. Slower charge to 100%.
  5. Float/Maintenance: Green LED. Maintains full charge without overcharging.

WARNING! Do not disconnect clamps during charging. Unplug AC cord first if disconnection is necessary.

Maintenance Mode

After full charge, unit switches to maintenance mode (indicated by solid green LED). This mode monitors battery voltage and applies a tiny charge only when needed, making it safe for long-term storage (weeks or months).

Safety Features

Reverse Polarity Protection: Prevents operation if clamps are reversed. Spark-Proof: No spark when connecting clamps to battery. Overcharge Protection: Automatically switches to float mode. Short Circuit & Overheat Protection: Internal safeguards.

CAUTION! Always wear eye protection. Keep charger dry. Do not cover charger during operation.

Care & Storage

Unplug and disconnect clamps before cleaning. Wipe with dry cloth. Store in cool, dry place. Coil cords loosely to prevent damage.

CAUTION! Do not immerse in water or use chemical cleaners.
