Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, dry, level surface near battery.

  1. Position unit: Ensure charger is in a well-ventilated area, away from battery.
  2. AC Power: Plug AC cord into grounded 120V outlet. Unit will power on.
  3. Battery Preparation: Ensure battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion.
  4. Vehicle Preparation: Turn off all vehicle accessories and ignition.

WARNING! Risk of explosive gases. Work in well-ventilated area. Wear eye protection. Keep sparks and flames away.

First-Time Setup

Power on charger; follow display prompts.

  1. Select Battery Type: Press BATTERY TYPE button to cycle through AGM, GEL, STD.
  2. Select Charge Rate: Press RATE button to choose 2A (trickle), 10A, 50A, or 200A.
  3. Connect Clamps: Connect RED clamp to battery POSITIVE (+) terminal first. Then connect BLACK clamp to battery NEGATIVE (-) terminal or vehicle chassis ground.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access functions via front panel buttons. Display shows voltage, amp flow, and status icons.

Control Panel: POWER ON/OFF, BATTERY TYPE, CHARGE RATE, ENGINE START, TEST (Battery/Alternator).

Charging Modes: Automatic multi-stage (Bulk, Absorption, Float). Battery Type: AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat), GEL (Gel Cell), STD (Standard Flooded). Display Indicators: Charging, Complete, Fault, Reverse Polarity. Test Mode: Checks battery voltage under load and alternator output.

Connecting to Batteries

For charging or engine start. Always ensure correct polarity.

  1. Turn off charger and unplug from AC outlet before connecting clamps.
  2. Connect RED clamp to battery POSITIVE (+) terminal.
  3. Connect BLACK clamp to battery NEGATIVE (-) terminal or a solid, unpainted metal part of the vehicle chassis.
  4. Plug charger into AC outlet. Select settings.

Tip: For engine start, connect clamps directly to battery terminals for best current flow.

Charging and Starting

Supports standard charging and emergency engine starting.

  1. Standard Charging: Follow First-Time Setup steps. Charger will automatically progress through stages and indicate "Complete."
  2. Engine Start (Boost) Mode: Ensure charger is connected correctly. Press and hold ENGINE START button for up to 3 seconds while attempting to crank engine.
  3. Monitoring: Watch display for voltage and status. Do not leave unattended for extended periods during high-rate charge.
  4. Disconnect: Once charging is complete or engine is started, unplug AC cord, then remove BLACK clamp, then RED clamp.

WARNING! Do not use Engine Start mode as a substitute for charging a dead battery. Charge battery first if possible. Do not crank engine for more than 5 seconds continuously.

Maintenance Mode

After full charge, unit may enter Maintenance (Float) Mode to keep battery at optimal voltage without overcharging. Ideal for seasonal vehicles.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug and disconnect from battery before cleaning. Wipe case with dry or slightly damp cloth. Keep ventilation slots clean. Inspect clamps and cables for damage regularly.
