Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Use in well-ventilated area.

  1. Wear eye protection and avoid leaning over battery.
  2. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.
  3. Ensure charger is unplugged from AC outlet before connecting to battery.
  4. Connect clamps to battery terminals first (red to positive+, black to negative-), then plug into AC outlet.
  5. Keep charger dry; do not expose to rain or moisture.

WARNING! Risk of explosive gases. Keep sparks, flames away from battery. Do not disconnect clamps while charger is powered on.

Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure battery is in a stable, well-ventilated location.

  1. Prepare battery: Clean terminals if corroded. Ensure vent caps are secure (if applicable).
  2. Connect charger: Attach red clamp to positive (+) terminal, black clamp to negative (-) terminal.
  3. Plug in: Insert AC plug into 120V, 60Hz outlet.
  4. Monitor: LEDs will indicate charging status automatically.

CAUTION! Do not connect to a vehicle's electrical system while engine is running. Ensure clamps have solid metal-to-metal contact.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Unit has a single housing with LED status panel. No physical buttons for operation.

LED Indicators:

Clamps: Color-coded, heavy-duty with spark-proof design.

Charging Procedure

Charger operates automatically once connected.

  1. Ensure battery and area are safe (see Safety).
  2. Connect clamps to battery terminals (RED to POSITIVE+, BLACK to NEGATIVE-).
  3. Plug AC cord into wall outlet. POWER LED will light.
  4. Charger will automatically detect battery voltage (6V or 12V).
  5. CHARGING LED will light (Red) during active charging.
  6. When battery reaches full charge, CHARGING LED turns off and MAINTENANCE LED lights (Green).
  7. To disconnect: Unplug AC cord from outlet first, then remove clamps from battery.

Note: Charging time depends on battery size and state of discharge. A deeply discharged battery may take 24 hours or more.

Maintenance Mode

After full charge is reached, charger switches to Float/Maintenance mode indefinitely.

Tip: Ideal for storing motorcycles, lawn tractors, classic cars, and other infrequently used equipment.

Care & Storage

Unplug and disconnect from battery before cleaning. Wipe with dry cloth only.

  1. Store in a cool, dry place.
  2. Keep clamps clean and free of corrosion.
  3. Coil cords loosely; do not kink or pinch.
  4. Inspect cords and clamps periodically for damage.

CAUTION! Do not immerse in water or use chemical cleaners. Do not store near heat sources or flammable materials.

Troubleshooting

SymptomPossible CauseCorrective Action
No LEDs light when plugged inNo AC power / Faulty outletCheck wall outlet; try another outlet. Ensure plug is fully inserted.
FAULT LED flashingReverse polarity / Bad connection / Dead batteryCheck clamp connections (Red to +, Black to -). Ensure clamps have good contact. Battery voltage may be below 3V (too low to charge).
CHARGING LED stays on for daysVery large or deeply discharged batteryThis is normal. Allow more time. If after 48 hours no change, battery may be defective.
Charger gets warmNormal operationSome warmth is normal during charging. If excessively hot, unplug and allow to cool.
Battery does not hold chargeBattery may be old or sulfatedTest battery with a load tester. Charger cannot revive all dead batteries.
Spark when connecting clampsCharger was plugged inALWAYS connect clamps first, THEN plug into AC outlet.

Reset: Unplug from AC and battery for 2 minutes, then reconnect.
