Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Use in well-ventilated area.

  1. Wear eye protection and avoid flames/sparks near battery.
  2. Ensure charger is unplugged before connecting/disconnecting clamps.
  3. Connect red clamp to positive (+) terminal first, then black to negative (-) or chassis ground.
  4. Select correct battery type (Standard/AGM/Gel) before charging.
  5. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.

WARNING! Risk of explosive gases. Keep charger away from battery during connection. Do not touch clamps together.

Installation & Setup

Unpack charger and inspect for damage. Ensure work area is dry.

  1. Place charger on stable, non-flammable surface near battery.
  2. Plug AC cord into grounded 120V outlet (do not turn on yet).
  3. Set battery type switch to match your battery (Standard/AGM/Gel).
  4. Connect clamps: RED to battery positive (+), BLACK to negative (-) or clean chassis ground.
  5. AC power will automatically begin charging sequence.

CAUTION! Ensure polarity is correct. Reverse connection may damage charger and battery.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: Battery Type Selector Switch, LED Status Indicators.

LED Indicators:

Battery Type Switch: Three positions: STANDARD (wet), AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat), GEL (Gel Cell).

Charging Procedure

Automatic operation once connected properly.

  1. Ensure battery terminals are clean and charger is unplugged.
  2. Set battery type switch to correct position.
  3. Connect clamps: RED to positive (+), BLACK to negative (-).
  4. Plug AC cord into outlet. POWER LED will light.
  5. CHARGING LED will illuminate; charger begins Bulk stage.
  6. When battery reaches 80%, charger switches to Absorption stage.
  7. When fully charged, charger switches to Float/Maintenance mode (MAINTENANCE LED).
  8. To disconnect: Unplug AC cord, remove BLACK clamp first, then RED.

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries, charging may take 12-24 hours.

Maintenance Mode

After full charge, charger maintains battery at optimal voltage.

Note: Maintenance mode is for 12V batteries only. Do not use for 6V batteries.
