Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Use in well-ventilated area.

  1. Wear safety glasses and gloves when working with batteries.
  2. Ensure charger is unplugged from AC outlet before connecting to battery.
  3. Connect red clamp to positive (+) terminal first, then black to negative (-) or grounded metal.
  4. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.
  5. Keep charger dry and away from flammable materials.

WARNING! Risk of explosion or acid burn. Follow instructions precisely. Do not disassemble charger.

First-Time Setup

Unpack charger and inspect for damage. Ensure battery is in safe, stable location.

  1. Plug charger into grounded 120V AC outlet. Display will light up.
  2. Connect clamps to battery: RED to positive (+), BLACK to negative (-) or vehicle chassis.
  3. Charger will automatically detect battery voltage (6V or 12V).
  4. Select mode if applicable (e.g., AGM/GEL or RECONDITION). Default is standard charging.
  5. Charging begins automatically; monitor display for progress.

CAUTION! Ensure proper ventilation. Do not place charger directly above battery.

Specifications

Controls and Display

Front Panel: POWER button, MODE button, Digital Display, Status LEDs.

Display Indicators: Battery Voltage (e.g., 12.6V), Charging Status (e.g., CHARGING, FULL), Error Codes (e.g., E1, E2).

Mode Button: Cycles through charging options: STANDARD (default), AGM/GEL, RECONDITION. Press and hold for 3 seconds to select.

Status LEDs: POWER (green), CHARGING (flashing yellow), FULL (solid green), FAULT (red).

Charging Procedure

For 6V or 12V lead-acid batteries.

  1. Ensure battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion.
  2. Plug charger into AC outlet. Display shows "0.0" or standby.
  3. Connect clamps: RED to positive (+), BLACK to negative (-) or chassis ground.
  4. Charger beeps and displays detected voltage (e.g., "12.4").
  5. If needed, press MODE to select battery type (AGM/GEL).
  6. Charging starts automatically. Display shows current voltage and "CHG".
  7. When fully charged, display shows "FULL" and green LED lights solid.
  8. To disconnect: Unplug AC cord first, then remove BLACK clamp, then RED clamp.

Tip: For maintenance charging, leave connected; charger switches to float mode automatically.

Battery Reconditioning Mode

Use for deeply discharged or sulfated batteries.

  1. Connect charger to battery as normal.
  2. Press and hold MODE button for 5 seconds until "RECOND" appears.
  3. Charger will run a desulfation cycle (may take several hours).
  4. Display shows progress; do not interrupt.
  5. After cycle, charger resumes normal charging automatically.

WARNING! Reconditioning may not revive all batteries. Do not use on damaged or leaking batteries.

Maintenance & Storage

Unplug and clean after each use. Store in dry, cool place.

Cleaning: Wipe with dry cloth. Do not use liquids or solvents.
