Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Use in well-ventilated area.

  1. Wear eye protection and avoid leaning over battery.
  2. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.
  3. Keep charger dry and away from flammable materials.
  4. Connect to battery before plugging into AC outlet.
  5. Disconnect AC power before removing clamps.

WARNING! Risk of explosive gases. Keep sparks and flames away from battery area. Do not disassemble charger.

Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure work area is clean and dry.

  1. Position charger: Place on stable, non-conductive surface near battery.
  2. Prepare battery: Clean terminals if corroded. Remove cell caps (if applicable) to vent gases.
  3. Connect clamps: RED to positive (+) terminal, BLACK to negative (-) terminal.
  4. Plug into AC outlet: Use grounded 120V outlet only.
  5. Select mode: Press MODE button if manual selection is required (default is automatic).

CAUTION! Ensure polarity is correct. Reverse connection may damage charger and battery.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: MODE button, LED status indicators.

LED Indicators:

Mode Selection: Press MODE to toggle between 6V and 12V if automatic detection is overridden.

Charging Procedure

Automatic operation for most batteries.

  1. Ensure battery voltage matches charger capability (6V or 12V).
  2. Connect clamps: RED to positive, BLACK to negative.
  3. Plug charger into AC outlet.
  4. Observe LEDs: Red CHARGING light indicates active charging.
  5. Monitor progress: Charger automatically switches to float/maintain mode when full.
  6. Disconnect: Unplug AC cord first, then remove clamps (negative first).

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries, charging may take several hours. LED will change from red to green when complete.

Maintenance Mode

Float mode maintains battery at optimal charge for storage.

  1. Connect charger as normal.
  2. Charger will automatically enter float mode after full charge.
  3. Green MAINTAINING LED flashes during float mode.
  4. Can be left connected indefinitely for battery maintenance.
  5. Ideal for seasonal vehicles, boats, and equipment.

Note: Maintenance mode prevents sulfation and extends battery life during storage.

Care & Storage

Unplug and clean after each use. Store in dry location.

  1. Wipe exterior with dry cloth only.
  2. Inspect cables for damage before storage.
  3. Store in original box or protective case.
  4. Keep away from extreme temperatures and moisture.

CAUTION! Do not immerse in water or use solvents for cleaning.
