Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Use in well-ventilated area.

  1. Wear safety glasses and gloves when working with batteries.
  2. Ensure charger is unplugged from AC outlet before connecting to battery.
  3. Connect RED clamp to POSITIVE (+) battery terminal first.
  4. Connect BLACK clamp to NEGATIVE (-) battery terminal or grounded metal.
  5. Plug charger into 120V AC outlet only after connections are secure.
  6. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.
  7. Keep sparks, flames, and smoking materials away from battery.

WARNING! Risk of explosive gases. Battery acid can cause severe burns. Always follow proper connection sequence.

First-Time Setup & Connection

Prepare battery and charger for initial use.

  1. Clean battery terminals if corroded.
  2. For installed batteries, disconnect negative (-) cable first (if required by vehicle manual).
  3. Set charger on stable, dry, non-flammable surface.
  4. Connect clamps: RED to POSITIVE (+), BLACK to NEGATIVE (-) or chassis ground.
  5. Plug charger into 120V AC outlet. Display will illuminate.
  6. Charger automatically detects battery voltage and begins charging sequence.

CAUTION! Do not connect to positive terminal of a different battery. Ensure clamps have solid metal-to-metal contact.

Specifications

Controls and Display

Front Panel: POWER Button, MODE Selector, Display Screen, Status LEDs.

Display Icons: Battery Voltage, Charge Percentage, Charging Stage (Bulk/Absorption/Float), Error Codes.

Mode Button: Toggles between charge modes (e.g., 2A Trickle, 10A Standard, 50A Engine Start, AGM/GEL, Recondition).

Status LEDs: POWER (Green), CHARGING (Flashing Amber), COMPLETE/Maintaining (Solid Green), FAULT (Red).

Charging Process

Automatic multi-stage charging cycle.

  1. Bulk Stage: Delivers maximum current until battery reaches ~80%.
  2. Absorption Stage: Voltage constant, current tapers as battery nears full charge.
  3. Float/Maintenance Stage: Maintains full charge with minimal voltage; prevents overcharging.
  4. Completion: Display shows "FULL" or "MAINT." LED turns solid green.

Engine Start Mode (if equipped): Select 50A mode, wait for "READY" indicator, then attempt to start vehicle.

Maintenance Mode

After full charge, charger switches to float/maintenance mode automatically.

Note: For long-term storage, check connections monthly and ensure ventilation.
