Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. For lead-acid batteries only.

  1. Work in well-ventilated area; keep away from sparks, flames, and smoking.
  2. Wear eye protection and protective clothing.
  3. Do not charge frozen or damaged battery.
  4. Ensure charger is unplugged from AC outlet before connecting/disconnecting clamps.
  5. Connect positive (red) clamp to positive (+) battery terminal first, then negative (black) to negative (-) terminal or vehicle chassis.

WARNING! Risk of explosive gases. Battery can explode if misused. Do not disassemble charger.

Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place charger on stable, dry, non-flammable surface.

  1. Select battery type: Use selector switch for STANDARD, AGM, or GEL.
  2. Connect to battery: Ensure charger is unplugged. Attach clamps as per safety instructions.
  3. Plug into AC power: Use standard 120V, 60Hz outlet.
  4. Charger will automatically detect voltage and begin charging sequence.

CAUTION! Do not connect to AC power before clamps are securely attached to battery.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: Digital Display, MODE Button, BATTERY TYPE Selector, STATUS LEDs.

Display Readouts: Battery Voltage (e.g., 12.6V), Charge Percentage (0-100%), Charging Stage Icon (Bulk/Absorption/Float), Error Code.

Status LEDs: POWER (Green), CHARGING (Flashing Amber), FULL (Solid Green), FAULT (Red).

Mode Button: Cycles through CHARGE, 12V ENGINE START, 6V CHARGE (if applicable), MAINTENANCE.

Battery Type Selector: Switch between STANDARD (flooded), AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat), GEL.

Charging Procedure

Fully automatic operation after correct setup.

  1. Ensure battery type is correctly selected on charger.
  2. Connect clamps to battery following safety sequence (RED first to +, BLACK to -).
  3. Plug charger into AC outlet. Display will illuminate.
  4. Charger automatically detects battery voltage and begins Bulk charging stage (display shows increasing %).
  5. Progresses to Absorption stage (slower charge), then Float/Maintenance (maintains full charge).
  6. When FULL LED lights solid green, battery is charged. Disconnect AC power first, then remove clamps (negative first).
  7. For Engine Start Assist: Select 12V ENGINE START mode, wait for "READY" indicator, then attempt to start vehicle.

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries, charger may take several hours to initiate. This is normal.

Maintenance Mode

Keeps a fully charged battery at optimal voltage for long-term storage.

  1. Connect charger to battery as normal.
  2. Press MODE button until "MAINTENANCE" appears on display.
  3. Charger will monitor voltage and deliver tiny pulses as needed to counteract self-discharge.
  4. Can be left connected indefinitely without risk of overcharging.

Note: Ideal for seasonal vehicles, boats, motorcycles, and classic cars.

Error Codes & Diagnostics

Digital display shows error codes for common issues.

CodeMeaningAction
E1Reverse PolarityCheck clamp connections (Red to +, Black to -)
E2OverheatAllow charger to cool in well-ventilated area
E3Battery Voltage Too LowBattery may be deeply discharged or damaged; try charging on a different mode
E4Battery Voltage Too HighDisconnect and check battery; may be faulty or already fully charged
E5Short Circuit / Bad ConnectionCheck clamps and battery terminals for clean, tight connection

Care & Storage

Unplug and disconnect from battery before cleaning. Wipe exterior with dry cloth only.

Store in a cool, dry place. Keep clamps clean and free of corrosion. Coil cords neatly to prevent damage.

CAUTION! Do not immerse in water or use chemical cleaners. Ensure unit is completely dry before use.
