Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Use in well-ventilated area.

  1. Wear eye protection and avoid leaning over battery during connections.
  2. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.
  3. Ensure charger is unplugged from AC outlet before connecting/disconnecting clamps.
  4. Connect to battery first, then plug charger into AC outlet.
  5. Keep charger dry and away from flammable materials.

WARNING! Risk of explosive gases. Keep sparks, flames, and smoking materials away from battery area. Battery acid can cause severe burns.

Initial Setup & Connections

Prepare charger and battery for charging.

  1. Clean battery terminals to ensure good connection.
  2. For in-vehicle charging: Turn off ignition and all electrical loads. Disconnect negative (ground) cable if possible.
  3. Connect charger clamps: RED clamp to POSITIVE (+) battery terminal. BLACK clamp to NEGATIVE (-) terminal or clean vehicle chassis ground.
  4. Plug charger into a standard 120V AC, 60Hz outlet.
  5. Select battery type and charging mode using front panel buttons.

CAUTION! Never connect clamps in reverse polarity. Ensure secure connections to prevent arcing.

Specifications

Controls and Display

Front Panel Controls: MODE Button, ENGINE START Button, BATTERY TYPE Button, ENTER Button.

Digital Display: Shows battery voltage (e.g., 12.6V), charging current (e.g., 10.0A), status messages (CHARGING, MAINTAINING, COMPLETE), and fault codes (E01, E02, etc.).

Mode Selection: Use MODE button to cycle through CHARGE (2A/10A), ENGINE START (30A), and RECONDITION modes. Battery Type: Use BATTERY TYPE button to select Standard, AGM, or Gel Cell. The charger will automatically adjust charging algorithm.

Charging Procedures

For Automatic Charging of 12V Batteries.

  1. Connect clamps correctly (Red to +, Black to -).
  2. Plug into AC outlet. Display will show battery voltage.
  3. Press BATTERY TYPE to select correct battery chemistry.
  4. Press MODE to select CHARGE (2A for maintenance, 10A for faster charge).
  5. Press ENTER to start. Display will show "CHARGING" and current.
  6. Charger automatically switches to "MAINTAINING" when battery is full.
  7. When finished, unplug from AC outlet first, then disconnect clamps.

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries (<2V), charger may need several minutes to detect voltage before beginning charge cycle.

Engine Start Function

Use to provide auxiliary power for starting a vehicle.

  1. Ensure charger is connected to battery correctly and plugged in.
  2. Press MODE until "ENGINE START" appears on display.
  3. Press ENTER to activate. Display will show "READY".
  4. Attempt to start vehicle within 5 minutes of activation.
  5. Function will time out after 5 minutes or when engine starts.
  6. After starting, allow alternator to charge battery. Disconnect charger normally.

WARNING! Do not use Engine Start mode as a substitute for proper battery charging. This is for assistance only. Do not crank engine for more than 5 seconds continuously.

Battery Recondition Mode

Helps recover sulfated batteries. Use only on 12V Standard (Wet) lead-acid batteries.

  1. Connect charger to a deeply discharged or sulfated battery.
  2. Press MODE until "RECONDITION" appears.
  3. Press ENTER to start. Process can take up to 24 hours.
  4. Display will show progress. Do not interrupt.
  5. After completion, charger will switch to maintenance mode.

Note: Not all batteries can be recovered. Do not use on AGM or Gel Cell batteries in this mode.

Care & Storage

Unplug and clean after each use. Store in a cool, dry place.

  1. Wipe exterior with a dry, soft cloth.
  2. Inspect cables and clamps for damage before each use.
  3. Coil cables loosely for storage. Do not kink or sharply bend.
  4. Store in original box or protective case if available.

CAUTION! Do not immerse charger in water or use solvents for cleaning. Keep ventilation slots clear of obstructions.
