Safety Precautions

First-Time Setup

Unpack charger and inspect for damage. Read manual thoroughly.

  1. Select battery type: Use selector switch for STANDARD, AGM, or GEL.
  2. Connect clamps: Ensure charger is unplugged. Attach red to positive, black to negative.
  3. Plug into AC outlet: Use grounded 120V outlet.
  4. Monitor display: Charger will auto-detect voltage and begin charging.

Connecting to Battery

  3. Connect black clamp to negative (-) terminal or vehicle chassis ground.
  4. Plug charger into AC outlet. Display will light up.
  5. Charger auto-detects voltage and begins charging.

Tip: For best results, charge battery at room temperature. Clean terminals before connecting.

Charging Process

Charger operates automatically through three stages.

  1. Bulk Stage: Delivers maximum current to raise battery voltage.
  2. Absorption Stage: Voltage held constant, current tapers as battery nears full charge.
  3. Float Stage: Maintains battery at full charge with minimal current.
  4. Completion: Display shows "FULL" or "100%". Unplug AC cord, then remove clamps.

WARNING! Do not leave charger connected indefinitely. Monitor charging progress.

Maintenance Mode

For long-term battery storage. Keeps battery at optimal charge.

  1. Connect charger as normal.
  2. Press MODE button until "MAINT" appears on display.
  3. Charger will cycle on/off to maintain battery without overcharging.
  4. Can be left connected for weeks safely.

Note: Only use with 12V batteries. Not recommended for 6V batteries.

Care & Storage

Unplug and clean after each use. Store in dry, cool location.

  1. Wipe exterior with dry cloth. Do not use liquids.
  2. Inspect clamps and cords for damage before use.
  3. Store in original box or protective case.
  4. Keep away from children and pets.
