Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. For indoor use only.

  1. Work in a well-ventilated area away from sparks or flames.
  2. Wear protective eyewear and gloves when handling batteries.
  3. Ensure charger is unplugged from AC outlet before connecting to battery.
  4. Connect clamps to battery terminals first (red to positive, black to negative).
  5. Then plug charger into AC outlet.

WARNING! Risk of explosive gases. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries. Keep children and pets away.

Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place charger on stable, dry surface.

  1. Prepare battery: Clean terminals and ensure vent caps are secure (if applicable).
  2. Connect clamps: Attach RED clamp to POSITIVE (+) battery terminal. Attach BLACK clamp to NEGATIVE (-) terminal or vehicle chassis ground.
  3. Plug in: Insert AC power cord into 120V, 60Hz outlet.
  4. Select mode (if needed): Default is automatic; press MODE button to select battery type.

CAUTION! Never connect clamps in reverse order. Ensure connections are secure and metal-to-metal.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: Digital Display, MODE Button, POWER/STATUS LED.

Display Symbols: Battery Icon (charging), Full Battery (complete), Fault (error).

Modes: AUTOMATIC (default), AGM/GEL (for AGM/gel batteries), DEEP CYCLE (for marine/RV). Indicators: Green LED (charging), Solid Green (maintaining), Flashing Red (error/fault).

Charging Procedure

Automatic operation once properly connected.

  1. Verify connections: Red to positive, black to negative/ground.
  2. Plug into AC outlet: Display will light up and show battery voltage.
  3. Charger automatically detects voltage and begins charging.
  4. Monitor display: Shows current (amps) decreasing as battery charges.
  5. Completion: Display shows "FULL" or green LED stays solid. Charger switches to float/maintenance mode.
  6. Disconnect: Unplug AC cord first, then remove clamps (black first, then red).

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries, charger may take several hours to reach full charge.

Maintenance Mode

After full charge, charger automatically enters float mode to maintain battery.

  1. Float mode maintains optimal voltage without overcharging.
  2. Ideal for seasonal vehicles, boats, motorcycles.
  3. Can be left connected indefinitely for battery maintenance.
  4. Display shows "MAINT" or steady green light.

Note: Periodically check battery and connections during long-term storage.

Care & Storage

Unplug and disconnect before cleaning. Wipe with dry cloth; keep vents clear.

Storage: Store in cool, dry place. Coil cords neatly. Keep clamps from touching each other.

CAUTION! Do not expose to water or extreme temperatures. Do not disassemble.
