Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Working with batteries involves risks.

  1. Use in well-ventilated area; keep away from sparks, flames, and smoking materials.
  2. Wear eye protection and protective clothing when handling batteries.
  3. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.
  4. Ensure charger is unplugged from AC outlet before connecting/disconnecting clamps.
  5. Connect RED clamp to POSITIVE (+) terminal first, then BLACK to NEGATIVE (-) or ground.

WARNING! Risk of explosive gases. Battery acid can cause severe burns. Never lean over battery during charging.

Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure charger is on a stable, dry, non-flammable surface.

  1. Prepare Battery: Clean battery terminals. Ensure vent caps are secure and level.
  2. Connect Charger: Plug AC cord into wall outlet. Connect clamps to battery (RED to +, BLACK to -).
  3. Verify Connection: LED should illuminate. If FAULT LED lights, check connections.
  4. Begin Charging: Charging will start automatically once proper connection is detected.

CAUTION! Do not place charger directly above battery. Keep cables clear of moving engine parts.

Charging Procedure

Follow these steps for safe and effective charging.

  1. Preparation: Ensure battery is in a well-ventilated area. Check electrolyte levels (if applicable).
  2. Connection: Plug AC cord into outlet. Connect RED clamp to battery positive (+) terminal. Connect BLACK clamp to negative (-) terminal or clean, unpainted metal ground.
  3. Initiation: CHARGING LED will light. Charger will begin analysis and select charge mode.
  4. Monitoring: Charger automatically progresses through bulk, absorption, and float stages.
  5. Completion: When COMPLETE LED lights, battery is charged. Charger maintains float voltage.
  6. Disconnection: Unplug AC cord first. Remove BLACK clamp, then RED clamp.

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries, charging may take several hours. Leave connected until COMPLETE LED illuminates.

Maintenance Mode

After full charge, charger switches to float/maintenance mode.

Note: For long-term storage, check battery and charger monthly.

Care & Storage

Unplug and disconnect before cleaning. Wipe with dry cloth; ensure vents are clear.

  1. Store in a cool, dry place.
  2. Keep clamps clean; wipe off any corrosion.
