Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Use in well-ventilated area.

  1. Wear eye protection and avoid flames/sparks near battery.
  2. Ensure charger is unplugged before connecting to battery.
  3. Connect clamps properly: RED to positive (+), BLACK to negative (-).
  4. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.
  5. Keep charger dry and away from liquids.

WARNING! Risk of explosion or acid burn. Follow instructions precisely. Do not disassemble charger.

Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place charger on stable, dry surface.

  1. Power connection: Plug AC cord into 120V outlet after battery connection.
  2. Battery connection: Ensure clamps make solid contact with battery terminals.
  3. Automatic detection: Charger will detect battery voltage (6V/12V).
  4. Mode selection: Choose charge rate (2A/6A/10A) based on battery size.

CAUTION! Connect clamps to battery before plugging into AC outlet. Disconnect in reverse order.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: POWER button, MODE selector (2A/6A/10A), ENTER button.

Display Indicators: Battery icon (charging/maintaining), Voltage readout, Error codes, Charge progress bar.

Charging Stages: BULK (constant current), ABSORPTION (constant voltage), FLOAT (maintenance voltage). Status Lights: RED (charging), YELLOW (absorption), GREEN (float/maintain).

Charging Procedures

Automatic charging for 6V/12V batteries.

  1. Preparation: Ensure battery terminals are clean and charger is unplugged.
  2. Connection: Attach RED clamp to positive (+), BLACK clamp to negative (-).
  3. Power On: Plug into AC outlet; display will show detected battery voltage.
  4. Mode Selection: Press MODE to choose charge rate (2A for maintenance, 6A for standard, 10A for faster charge).
  5. Monitoring: Display shows progress; charger automatically switches to float when complete.
  6. Disconnect: Unplug AC cord, then remove BLACK clamp, then RED clamp.

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries, charger may take several minutes to recognize battery before beginning charge cycle.

Maintenance Mode

Float/maintain mode keeps battery at optimal charge during storage.

  1. Select 2A mode for maintenance charging.
  2. Connect as normal; charger will complete charge cycle then switch to float.
  3. Can be left connected indefinitely without overcharging.
  4. Display shows "FLOAT" when in maintenance mode.

Note: Ideal for seasonal vehicles, boats, and equipment in storage.

Error Codes & Diagnostics

Display shows error codes for troubleshooting:

CodeMeaningAction
E1Reverse polarity detectedCheck clamp connections
E2Battery voltage too low/highCheck battery condition
E3OverheatingAllow charger to cool
E4Bad battery connectionClean terminals, secure clamps
