Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access settings via MODE button and digital display.

Controls: MODE button (select battery type), Digital display (shows voltage, charging stage, errors).

Battery Type Selection: Press MODE to cycle through icons for Standard (flooded), AGM, Gel Cell. Charging Stages: Display shows BULK (fast charge), ABSORPTION (tapering charge), FLOAT (maintenance). Error Codes: Display shows E1 (reverse polarity), E2 (overheat), E3 (bad battery).

Connecting to Battery

Always connect clamps to battery before plugging into AC power.

  1. Turn off charger and unplug from AC outlet.
  2. Clean battery terminals if corroded.
  3. Connect RED clamp to positive (+) terminal.
  4. Connect BLACK clamp to negative (-) terminal or vehicle chassis ground.
  5. Plug charger into AC outlet.

Tip: Ensure clamps have solid metal-to-metal contact. Do not connect to frozen battery.

Charging Process

Automatic multi-stage charging for optimal battery health.

  1. Bulk Stage: High current charge until ~80% capacity (display shows "BULK").
  2. Absorption Stage: Voltage constant, current tapers ("ABSORPTION" displayed).
  3. Float Stage: Maintenance charge to keep battery full ("FLOAT" displayed).
  4. Completion: Charger maintains float mode indefinitely or until disconnected.
  5. Disconnect: Unplug AC cord first, then remove BLACK clamp, then RED clamp.

WARNING! Do not leave charger unattended for extended periods. Monitor for unusual heat or smells.

Maintenance Mode

Float mode maintains battery charge without overcharging. Ideal for seasonal vehicles or storage.

Enable: Automatic after full charge. Duration: Can remain connected indefinitely. Display: Shows "FLOAT" and battery voltage.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug and disconnect from battery before cleaning. Wipe with dry cloth; keep vents clear.

CAUTION! Do not use water or solvents. Store in dry location away from children.
