Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Failure to follow may result in injury or damage.

  1. Use only with lead-acid batteries. Do not charge dry-cell or non-rechargeable batteries.
  2. Ensure area is well-ventilated. Batteries produce explosive gases.
  3. Wear eye protection and avoid leaning over battery during charging.
  4. Do not expose charger to rain, snow, or moisture.
  5. Disconnect AC power before connecting or disconnecting battery clamps.

WARNING! Risk of explosive gases. Keep sparks, flames, and cigarettes away. Connect and disconnect clamps carefully.

Installation & Setup

Unpack charger and inspect for damage. Ensure battery is in a stable, dry location.

  1. Place charger on stable, non-flammable surface near battery.
  2. Connect AC power cord to grounded 120V outlet.
  3. Connect battery clamps: RED to positive (+) terminal, BLACK to negative (-) terminal.
  4. Charger will automatically detect voltage and begin charging.

CAUTION! Never connect clamps to each other. Ensure polarity is correct to avoid damage.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: Power LED (green), Charging LED (red), Complete LED (green), Fault LED (red).

LED Status Guide:

Automatic Operation: No manual controls needed. Charger automatically selects voltage and charging stage.

Charging Procedure

Follow these steps for safe and effective charging.

  1. Ensure battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion.
  2. Connect AC power cord to outlet. Power LED will illuminate.
  3. Connect clamps: RED to positive (+), BLACK to negative (-). Spark-proof feature activates.
  4. Charger will detect voltage and begin charging. Charging LED will flash.
  5. Monitor LEDs: When Complete LED lights solid, battery is fully charged.
  6. Disconnect: Unplug AC power, then remove BLACK clamp, then RED clamp.

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries, charger may take several hours. Fault LED may illuminate if battery cannot be recovered.

Maintenance & Storage

Unplug and clean charger after each use. Store in dry, cool location.

  1. Wipe charger with dry cloth. Do not use liquids or solvents.
  2. Inspect cables and clamps for damage before each use.
  3. Store in original box or protective case to prevent dust accumulation.
  4. Do not store with clamps connected to battery or to each other.
