Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Use charger only with lead-acid batteries.

  1. Work in well-ventilated area: Batteries produce explosive gases.
  2. Wear eye protection: Protect eyes from battery acid and sparks.
  3. Disconnect AC power before connecting/disconnecting battery clamps.
  4. Connect clamps correctly: RED to positive (+), BLACK to negative (-).
  5. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.

WARNING! Risk of explosion or electric shock. Follow all safety precautions. Keep away from children.

Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure charger is unplugged from AC outlet.

  1. Prepare battery: Clean terminals if corroded. Ensure battery is in well-ventilated area.
  2. Connect clamps: First connect RED clamp to positive (+) terminal. Then connect BLACK clamp to negative (-) terminal or vehicle chassis.
  3. Plug into AC power: Insert charger plug into 120V AC, 60Hz outlet.
  4. Select mode (if applicable): Press MODE button to choose between 6V, 12V, or AGM/GEL (if model has manual selection).

CAUTION! Never connect clamps in reverse order. Ensure secure connections to prevent sparking.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: Digital display, MODE button (if applicable), Status LEDs.

Display Indicators: Battery voltage (e.g., 12.6V), Charging status (flashing/steady), Error codes.

Status Lights: POWER (green), CHARGING (red), FULL (green), FAULT (red).

Charging Modes: Automatic detection or manual selection for battery type (Standard, AGM, Gel).

Charging Procedure

Charger operates automatically once connected properly.

  1. Verify connections: RED to positive, BLACK to negative.
  2. Plug into AC outlet: POWER light should illuminate.
  3. Monitor display: Shows battery voltage and charging stage.
  4. Bulk charging: High current until ~80% charged.
  5. Absorption charging: Voltage constant, current tapers.
  6. Float/maintenance: Maintains full charge without overcharging.
  7. Completion: FULL light illuminates; charger switches to maintenance mode.
  8. Disconnect: Unplug AC power first, then remove BLACK clamp, then RED clamp.

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries, charger may take several hours. If FAULT light appears, check connections and battery condition.

Maintenance & Storage

Unplug and clean after each use. Store in dry, cool location.

  1. Clean clamps: Wipe with dry cloth to prevent corrosion.
  2. Inspect cables: Check for cracks or exposed wires.
  3. Store properly: Coil cords neatly; avoid extreme temperatures.
  4. Maintenance charging: Use periodically to maintain stored batteries.

CAUTION! Do not immerse charger in water. Keep ventilation openings clear of debris.
