Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Use in well-ventilated area.

  1. Wear eye protection and avoid leaning over battery.
  2. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.
  3. Ensure charger is unplugged before connecting/disconnecting clamps.
  4. Connect red clamp to positive (+) terminal first, then black to negative (-) or chassis ground.
  5. Keep sparks, flames, and smoking materials away from battery.

WARNING! Risk of explosive gases. Battery acid can cause severe burns. Use extreme caution.

Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place charger on stable, dry surface away from battery.

  1. Prepare battery: Remove cell caps (if applicable) and check electrolyte level. Clean terminals.
  2. Connect clamps: Ensure charger is unplugged. Connect RED clamp to positive (+) terminal. Connect BLACK clamp to negative (-) terminal or clean metal chassis ground.
  3. Plug in AC power: Connect to 120V AC, 60Hz outlet. Charger will automatically begin analysis.
  4. Select mode (if needed): Use MODE button to select standard charge or reconditioning.

CAUTION! Never connect clamps to each other. Ensure connections are secure and correct.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: POWER button, MODE button, LED Display.

LED Indicators:

MODE Button: Press to toggle between Standard Charge and Reconditioning mode (for deeply discharged batteries).

Charging Procedures

Automatic operation after correct connection.

  1. After plugging in, charger analyzes battery for 30 seconds.
  2. If battery voltage is too low, charger may not start. Use Reconditioning mode.
  3. During Bulk stage, CHARGING LED flashes amber. Charger delivers maximum current.
  4. During Absorption stage, current tapers as battery reaches full charge.
  5. When complete, COMPLETE LED lights solid green. Charger switches to Float mode to maintain charge.
  6. To disconnect: Unplug AC cord first, then remove BLACK clamp, then RED clamp.

Tip: For maintenance charging, leave connected. Charger will automatically cycle to keep battery at optimal voltage.

Battery Reconditioning Mode

For batteries deeply discharged below 1.5V or that have been sulfated.

  1. Connect clamps correctly and plug in charger.
  2. Press MODE button until "RECOND" appears on display or RECOND LED lights.
  3. Charger will attempt to recover battery with a special charging profile (may take several hours).
  4. If successful, charger will switch to normal charging. If not, FAULT LED will indicate bad battery.

WARNING! Not all batteries can be recovered. Do not use on frozen or physically damaged batteries.

Maintenance

Unplug and disconnect before cleaning. Wipe with dry cloth; keep vents clear.

Inspect clamps and cables regularly for damage. Replace if wires are exposed or insulation is cracked.

Storage: Store in cool, dry place. Coil cords neatly to prevent damage.
