Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Safety glasses
- Adjustable wrench
- Wire cutters/strippers
- Voltmeter
- Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
Step-by-Step Installation
- Safety First: Put on safety glasses and remove all jewelry. Work in a well-ventilated area away from sparks or flames.
- Battery Preparation: Clean battery terminals and ensure battery is in a stable, level position.
- Connection Sequence: Connect RED clamp to POSITIVE (+) battery terminal first. Then connect BLACK clamp to NEGATIVE (-) terminal or vehicle chassis ground.
- Power Connection: Plug charger into a properly grounded 120V AC outlet. Do not use extension cords.
- Charger Settings: Select appropriate charge rate based on battery type and capacity. Refer to battery manufacturer specifications.
- Initial Test: Verify proper connection by checking charger display/indicators. Ensure no sparking occurs during connection.
- Monitoring: Monitor charging process periodically. Do not leave unattended for extended periods during initial charge.
